In my view, if there's a line up. There's a deficiency. For example, if a flight is arriving at an airport and 300 people are expected to arrive on that flight, you set up enough manpower to handle it.
On a long weekend you add enough border guards at the access points to handle it instead of making thousands of people sit there in idling cars listening to the kids fight and complain in the back seat.
Things are getting better with the use of on line access to many options, but there is still some work to do.
In the new world, There will be a global organization that tracks all wait times for people, and those responsible for the line ups will have to deal with this guy... Dr. Phillip Buttersworth III!
