Rule #219: Business automated answering machines

This drives everyone crazy. Especially those voice prompts. I remember when some genius implemented this. Talk about making people look stupid. Just imagine. You're sitting at your desk and think to yourself "I'll just give my cable company a quick call while I'm on coffee break here to discuss that billing issue". So you dial and wait for the person to answer. But instead you get a robot asking stupid questions. And all your co-workers can hear is your voice.........

...... Steve....(pause)..... Bennett......(pause, then louder)...... BENNETT.......pause........867-5309.......pause..... YES.......pause........ Billing and payments.......pause..... NO .......pause.......... BILLING, AND, PAYMENTS ASS HEAD!

By this time everyone around you is making fun of you and you just want to smash the phone off someone's face! Well, we'll have none of these shenanigans in the NEW WORLD!

In the new world, any place you contact will have an option to connect with a real person (who speaks your language) immediately by pressing "0".

AND SO IT SHALL BE WRITTEN!

  1. The auto prompt of the companies call systems is the most annoying thing you experience daily. It should be ended soon to give customers some freedom of expression.
